“Prior to the Varsity Owls v. Smyer Bobcats football game scheduled for Thursday, October 18, 2025, in Hale Center, TX, a severe rain and windstorm caused considerable damage to band instruments and electronic equipment used for the UIL marching contest. The estimated damage was $38,707.64.

The Hale Center All-Class Reunion organization has established a Fundraising request to assist the Hale Center Independent School District in replacing the instruments and equipment.

I have Also received an email that The Hale Center Lion’s Club voted unanimously to give the Hale Center Band Boosters a $1000.00 to help with repair of the band instruments.  Lion’s of Hale Center’s motto is WE SERVE!
